- This lecture will introduce the concept of microsystems, the technology behind them, and their applications in the field of biomedical sensing.
- The lecture will cover the basic principles behind microsystems, including microfabrication techniques, sensors, and actuators.
- We will then discuss the various applications of microsystems for biomedical sensing, such as infectious diseases, cardiac and liver panel screenings, and cancer detection. Detailed objectvies are the following:
• Understand the working principles of Bio-MEMS sensors
• Learn MEMS design rules with various parameters and make correlations between physical construction and process designs.
• Design consideration to form biomedical MEMS sensors
